Two Factor Authentication

The miPay site offers the ability to enable Two Factor Authentication. If enabled, you will need your email address, password, and a unique code that is generated each time you login. This code can be sent to you either by email, text, or by using an authenticator app on your cell phone such use as Google Authenticator.

To enable Two Factor Authentication, follow these steps:

1. In the upper right, click on your name and select My Profile.

   

2. Click on Two Factor Authentication.

   

3. If you would like the code texted to you whenever you login, follow these steps.

   a. Click on Phone Number and type a number that allows text messages. The number should be entered in this format: ###-###-####.

   

   b. Click the Validate button.

   

   c. A code will be texted to you. Type that code into the Code field.

   

   d. Click Submit.

   e. If the code was verified, the Submit button will change to Activate Two Factor Auth. Click the Activate Two Factor Auth button. This will enable the Two Factor Authentication each time you login.

   

4. If you would like to utilize an authenticator app on you phone, follow these steps.

   a. Click Activate Authenticator.

   

   b. A bar code will appear. Open your authenticator app on your phone and scan the bar code.

   c. Type the code that appears on your phone into the Code field.

   d. Click Submit.

   

   The authenticator app will now be enabled when loggin in.

5. Click the Save button to save your settings.
